History of the Agency
Raymond Nelson Insurance, Inc. began in 1981 when our founder, Raymond Nelson, was looking for a better way to help people than selling life insurance door-to-door, which he had been doing for the previous 10 years. He founded our agency on the principle of going above and beyond to always be there when our clients need us, even if that means traveling 300 miles or helping a client through a crisis when the office would normally be closed.
Throughout our history we have specialized in serving the trucking and transportation industry, but over the years we continued to branch out both in the regions we serve and the types of insurance we sell, and now we are a full-service agency. We began in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, but are currently licensed in over 18 states, and our clients are protected wherever they happen to be in the United States and Canada. Whatever your personal insurance or commercial insurance needs, we will go the extra mile to find you the coverage that best protects what matters most, the business you’ve built and the people you love.
